Hi, I’m Leanne, a self-taught artist from Leicestershire, UK, with a lifelong love of art, nature and animals.

From as far back as I can remember, I have been drawn to the beauty of the natural world and the incredible creatures we share it with. These passions have become the heart of my artwork, inspiring me to create pieces that celebrate the beauty, emotion and connection that nature can bring into our lives.

Before dedicating more of my time to my art, I spent many years working in an animal rescue centre caring for dogs and cats, as well as fostering whenever I could. My time in rescue profoundly shaped me. I witnessed first-hand the extraordinary resilience of animals, their capacity to love so unconditionally, and the trust they can place in us. I also saw the heartbreaking reality of the cruelty some animals experience.

Those experiences continue to influence me today. Through my creativity, I hope to give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves, while creating artwork that encourages people to pause, connect and appreciate the world around them.

My work is inspired by the feelings and memories that nature can awaken within us. Sometimes that might be the peacefulness of sitting beside the sea at sunset, listening to the waves as the world seems to fall quiet. Other times, it is the unique personality, character and unconditional love of a much-loved pet, captured forever through a drawing.

My artistic journey began with pastel pencils, a medium that will always hold a special place in my heart. Over time, my curiosity and desire to grow as an artist have led me to explore new mediums and techniques, including acrylic painting.

​

My acrylic work allows me to explore a more dreamlike and expressive side of nature. I use vibrant, Dreamscape colours to explore the subconscious emotions and personal associations that the natural world can evoke within us — feelings of hope, tranquillity, comfort and emotional safety.

Whether I am capturing the soulful eyes of a beloved animal, the quiet beauty of a landscape, or the emotions stirred by a particular place or moment, my hope is that each piece creates a feeling — something that resonates with you personally and brings a little more beauty, peace or connection into your space.
